About My Blog (and Me)

I am new to this blogging business so be nice! 

I am a marketing professional and am currently working in the legal profession which, lets just say, isn't the most savvy profession when it comes to blogging, tweeting, facebooking etc. I am also just about to start a new marketing job in a new profession - accounting - and I suspect they also haven't fully embraced the world of social media.

I am a daily Facebooker and have a very under-utilised twitter account (that's the next project, after I remember my password!), but I have never really dabbled in or explored the world of blogging. So, in an attempt to self-teach and keep pace with the rapidly changing technologies, I have created this blog.

As a single thirty-something, I honestly think Melbourne is the greatest city in the world (albeit a bit cold). There is so much to see and do (and eat) here and I am always on the look out for interesting new places to go and things to do. My friends know me as an eternal planner and thank me for organising 'stuff'.. but what I don't think they realise is that they are doing me a favour by coming along for the ride as I explore Melbourne and all it has to offer.

So, I hope that I can share some of the ride with you out there in blogging world also, and I will attempt to entertain you with some insights into what I love about living in Melbourne...
